Day 1-2
Welcome to South Tyrol
Explore the picturesque towns of Bolzano, Castelrotto and Merano made impossibly pretty at Christmas time. Explore the Christmas markets and hop onboard a sleigh ride as we whizz past authentic mountain huts against a backdrop of the towering peaks of the Dolomites blanketed in snow.

Day 3-4
Castles, Christmas markets, Carols and Val di Funes
Explore a 13th century medieval castle, hop on a sweet Christmas train that stops at little villages with time to explore their gorgeous Christmas markets, and enjoy a festive musical treat with an immersive light and music performance. Hike in the Val di Funes and take in the dramatic alpine rugged mountain peaks.

Our itinerary has contingencies for all weather and we will adjust our plans as best we can so you can experience all of the incredible natural beauty of the Dolomites and South Tyrol should there be significant rain and / or cloud cover.

It is quite a meat and dairy heavy cuisine so it can be a little difficult for vegetarians and not advisable for vegans. We’re happy to work with tour accommodation and restaurants to ensure that you have suitable meal options.

No, this trip includes moderate walking of up to 8 kilometers / 5 miles per day. Some short sections of the terrain can be steep and rocky and are not suitable for those with mobility issues.
