If you like to travel a little slower and linger over your pici pasta, or savor the views of the rolling hills of Tuscany and treat yourself to a massage then southern Tuscany is for you.  

Come with us for a once in a lifetime trip to beautiful UNESCO heritage listed Val D’Orcia. Together, we discover what makes this beautiful part of the world famous – from cypress lined avenues and ancient olive groves, to thermal baths and Medieval hilltop towns.

DAY 1-2 Welcome to Southern Tuscany

Visit a stunning castle and its beautiful Renaissance Gardens and explore the  Medieval masterpiece Siena. Learn about the traditions behind the famous Palio horse race with the help of friendly locals.

Learn the secrets to making pizza at a local family-run farm and soak in the views of bella Toscana.

DAY 3-4 Tuscan Tastes and Traditions

Meet the charismatic locals who invite us into their homes and show us what it means to be Tuscan. Visit a historic 17th-century villa, an ancient abbey famous for their monastic pharmacy, enjoy free time in Montalcino, and learn to cook a full course Tuscan feast.

DAY 5 Our Wellness Day

Visit a town famed for thermal waters. Spend the day at a luxury private spa center or explore the countryside on a guided e-bike tour. In the evening, we visit an organic Montalcino winery for a tasting and special dinner.

DAY 6-7 Classic Val d’Orcia

Take in the stunning view of the vineyards and olive trees with a visit to a Montepulciano winery and another outside Orvieto. Wander the streets of cheese-obsessed Pienza and ride in a vintage Fiat500 through the cypress lined hills of beautiful Tuscany.

Our Wine and Wellness tour departs mid morning from the Eternal city of Rome.

Our Wine and Wellness tour concludes at Rome’s Termini Railway Station in the late afternoon,

Fly into Rome’s international airport Roma Fiumicino. If traveling from somewhere else in Italy, you can arrive by high speed train to the Roma Termini Station. 

Please let us know well in advance if you have any dietary needs, including allergies. Tuscan food can be quite meat heavy but there are options for vegetarians.  We’re happy to work with tour accommodation and restaurants to ensure that you have suitable meal options.

Absolutely! We always welcome solo travelers in our groups and generally have at least a couple of solo guests join.

Light to moderate physical activity levels are required on this tour as our guided walks range from 1-2 hours at a time. Please get in touch if you have concerns.

Our Wine and Wellness tour offers unbeatable value for money and includes 4 star accommodation, luxury transportation, nearly all meals, guided tours, entrance fees, artisan visits, local experiences, a dedicated tour host and more.

Most guests find they spend money on souvenirs, a few snacks and additional services such as laundry and spa treatments. You have one free time lunch but our guests often find this a welcome relief from the sheer amount of food during the rest of the tour.
